You can actually find Hot Links. My fave brand is Klements. And I know what you mean. I LOVE Famous Dave's. Have you had the Manhandler sandwich Memphis style? It is brisket, the hot links, BBQ sauce and cole slaw. Oh my……..it is that good!

I love me some Famous Dave's!
I don't know what sausage they use either , mostly 'cuz I go for the pulled pork and beef brisket.
But if you wanna try some great sausages on the grill then try sweet Italian sausage or Andouille or Johnsonville Bratwurst.
The Johnsonville's ROCK!

if what she wants is a slumber party, let her do it, but make sure you know what film she wishes to watch and theme the party after it. The decoration the food,the clothing of the guests and her, even the cake. there are plenty of on-line store where you can get such things and ask her mom to help you out. Otherwise make it a Hollywood themed party and decorate the house like a film studio(nothing too much) or so and pick simple finger food and no popcorn.

I don't know where you live, but where I live you can get hot links in a jar or in a pack like hot dogs in that section. Check it out. It also might be Andouille. You should just call and ask, I am sure they buy it.

you could do a spa theme, do eachothers nails, a masque, etc.

there are murder mystery party sets available - they give you a mystery to solve, everyone plays a character, etc. you can do costumes, themed food, etc. google them to find some online.

you could hire a fortune teller to come to the party.

you could buy beads online or at a store and make jewelery.

you could talk to her mom and figure out if there's any way to work a suprise into the party… everony loves being suprised on their birthday. be it going out to dinner, having more guests than she thought, going somewhere, anything really.

and if she wants to have a slumber party with movies and popcorn, you could always match the food to the movie (italian food and the Godfather, burgers and apple pie and American Pie) and get a couple other traditional party things - pinatas, other silly games, etc.

we used to decorate lockers at my highschool on birthdays, it's always fun to get extra attention at school!

A hot link is a hot link. The best hot link in the world is Potter's Brand made in Durant, Oklahoma. BBQ joints smoke the links [slow cooking over wood smoke] to give them that extra special flavor.
