if you forgot to bring a barbecue grill, can you purchase one near the camping area?
It depends on where you are camping. I'll assume a campground, and in that case they may have permanent grills available to use for free. If they have a camp store, they might sell them.
I usually camp in the forest, with a huge raging firepit on the ground, I never worry about grills.
Another option is to buddy-up with your neighbors and share time on theirs.

It’s quite likely these days. Maybe not right at the campground, but way up in the Sierra there are general stores that stock the basics and then some, snacks, meals, bait & tackle and your camping supplies, to answer your question. But of course the prices will be higher than back home.
Up I-80 on the way to Tahoe you can’t turn your head without seeing a store, Silver Lake has a store and so does Kirkwood near Carson Pass, Bear Valley Resort has a store and so does Lake Alpine Lodge up HWY 4, off 108 if your pass Pinecrest Lake you can still pick up a few items at Kennedy Meadows store, and in Yosemite NP both the Valley and Tuolumne Meadows have stores.
